Dolores M. Monje

Longtime Douglas resident, Dolores M. Monje, passed away September 26, 2004 at the Southeast Arizona Medical Center.


Mrs. Monje was born January 18, 1929 in Via Hidalgo, Sonora, Mexico. She has been a Douglas resident for the past 51 yeas. She was a member of St. Luke's Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose C. Monje in 1995 and a daughter, Graciela Monje in 1996.

Mrs. Monje is survived by her daughter, Enriqueta Monje of Douglas. Son, Arturo Monje of Phoenix. Sister Lupita Moreno de Coral of Hermosillo, Sonora. Brothers, Isaias and Ismael Moreno of Hermosillo, Sonora. Mother-in-law, Rosa Monje of Douglas. Also surviving are her 4 grandchildren, Arturo, Jr., Andy, Tony and Alissa Monje.

A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at the Brown Page Mortuary Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at St. Luke's Church with Father Armando Espinosa officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers who will serve are, Isaias Moreno, Arturo Monje, Sr., Arturo Monje, Jr., Andy Monje, Tony Monje and Kenny Green Jr.

Brown Page Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
