For the second time in less than a week, a shooting victim has been found on 10th Street.

A 28-year-old male, assumed to be a Mexican national, was wandering west along the 3000 block of 10th Street, near the Douglas Airport when he was spotted by law enforcement.

He was walking very slowly and stumbling a bit.

Douglas Police and Border Patrol discovered the reason for his trouble. He had reportedly been shot in the neck and in the head along the scalp earlier in the day.

He was found at about 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The victim claimed he had been shot on the border or just east of the border after three men robbed him.

He was air-evaced to a hospital in Tucson late yesterday afternoon.

The Douglas Police Department is working with the Mexican Consulate and the Border Patrol to determine the cause of the injuries.
