Passport fees increase

COCHISE COUNTY - Denise I. Lundin, Cochise County Clerk of the Superior Court, has announced that effective March 8, 2005, the U.S. Department of State will increase passport fees by $12.00 on all applications. This surcharge is necessary to fund multiple security enhancements in the U.S. passport.


The increase for new and renewal passports are as follows:

NEW PASSPORT APPLICATIONS

€ Age 16 and Over (Routine Service) will increase from $55.00 to $67.00 payable to Passport Services.

€ There is also a $30.00 handling fee payable to the Clerk which has not changed that is in addition to the passport fee.

€ Under age 16 will increase from $40.00 to $52.00,

€ The $30.00 Clerk fee is also added.

RENEWAL BY MAIL APPLICATIONS

€ A Renewal by Mail passport will now cost a total of $67

€ No Clerk processing fee is required for renewals.
