Mrs. Alicia R. Torres went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, July 20, 2005.

Alicia was born November 20, 1917 in Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico to Manuel and Serafina Rojas. Her first years of school were in Agua Prieta, Sonora before attending Loretto Catholic School in Douglas. Alicia married Arturo M. Tones on April 3, 1937. They were married for 56 years.

Arturo preceded her in death on January 1, 1993.

Mrs. Tones was a homemaker all her life. She has been a resident of Douglas for the past 68 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and belonged to the Vela Perpetua.

Alicia was a great daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters and son; Gloria Torres, Irene (Manuel) Robles, Patricia (Jose) Vasquez, Lillian (Juan) Pacheco and Arturo (Brenda) Torres, Jr. Nieces and nephews, Maria Schuster, Manuel Ernesto Torres, Ricardo Greth and Joseph Greth. Grandchildren; Guillermo German, Gabriel Robles, Ruben Robles, Audrey Robles, Armando Robles, Jose Vasquez, Karla Brockman, Rene Vasquez, Michael (Lupita) Pacheco, Myra Pacheco, Juan Pacheco, Raymond Pacheco, Lilia Medeguari, Adrian Torres, Ruben Torres and Erica Saavedra. Great grandchildren; Gabriel, Julie and Cynthia Robles, Danitza and Andres Hoyos, Isaiah Robles, Rene and Jovan Brockman, Ariana, Anessa and Alexis Vasquez, Freddy and Marisol Pacheco and Arriela, Asahael and Abram German.

A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2005 at Immaculate Conception Church. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2005 also at Immaculate Conception Church with Father Armando Espinoza officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers who will serve are Guillermo German, Manuel Robles, Jose Vasquez, Ricardo Greth, Joseph Greth and Manuel Ernesto Torres. Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

Brown Page Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
