Roy Lee "Sonny" Dixon

Roy Lee "Sonny" Dixon, 74, of Douglas, Arizona died Wednesday, July 20, 2005 in Douglas. He was born November 18, 1930 near Jacksonville, IL the son of Roy E. and Betty Mayes Dixon.

He is survived by two brothers Frank (wife, Rena) Dixon of Jacksonville and Robert (wife, Mary) Dixon of Griggsville one sister, Mary Etta (husband, Robert) Fox of Fishhook and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Dixon had worked at Woolworth's and Our Saviour Hospital in Jacksonville before moving to Arizona in 1984. He enjoyed playing cards, board games, listening to country music and following the St. Louis Cardinals.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at Antioch Cemetery east of Jacksonville. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to Antioch Cemetery.
