The summer program will serve as a community service outreach program to feed children when school is out. This program will benefit the children of those parents who work and all children 18 and under which will be given free meals daily.
Child Nutrition Program coordinator Beverly Jackson said, "It's a great state program for the community of Douglas, because it serves many needy children and those of working parents."
The Summer Nutrition Program 2006 will be serving at the following locations, dates and times:
ˆ Douglas Community Center, June5-July 30
€ Breakfast- 8:00-8:30 a.m.
€ Lunch- 11:30-12:00 p.m.
ˆ Joe Carlson School, June 19-July 21
€ Breakfast- 7:30-8:00 a.m.
€ Lunch- 12:00-12:30 p.m.
ˆ Paul Huber Middle School, June 5-June 30
€ Breakfast- 7:30-8:00 a.m.
€ nLunch- 12:00-12:30 p.m.
ˆ Douglas High School, May 30-July1
€ Breakfast- 6:45-9:00 a.m.
€ Lunch- 11:15-1:30 p.m.
