According to the Cochise College Center for Economic Research's latest survey of gas prices, conducted during the week of June 5, the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in Cochise County was $2.91. This was down from $2.94 two weeks prior. According to AAA Arizona, the statewide price dropped to $3.00 from $3.09. Nationally, according to the Energy Information Administration, gas prices remained the same at $2.88.

One year ago, the nationwide average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline, according to the EIA, was $2.12, which is 76 cents below its current price. At the state level, according to AAA Arizona, the price a year ago was $2.25, which is 75 cents lower than its current price. At the county level, according to the CER survey, the price a year ago was $2.25, which is 66 cents below the price from the most recent survey.
