Road Construction

The City of Douglas will be working on various projects over the coming week. The work is being done by the City of Douglas Public Works Department and is part of the Mayor and Council's ongoing infrastructure improvement program.


Beginning Monday, June 19, 2006 through Friday, June 23, 2006, concrete crews will continue with the installation of curb/gutter along 10th Street from H Avenue to Pan American Avenue. These improvements will gear us towards having parallel parking along 10th Street from G Avenue to Pan American Avenue. Crews will resume with concrete work in the area of 13th Street from Polk to Airport Road. Crews will be crack sealing along 15th Street from A Avenue to Florida Avenue.

Crews will continue with sewer improvements in the area of 3rd Street and A Avenue. A Avenue will be closed between 4th and 5th Street.

If you should have any problems with water and/or sewer services on the weekend or a holiday, please contact the Douglas Police Department at 364-8422 and staff on call will be dispatched to your residence.

The City of Douglas asks that you please use caution while driving or walking through these construction zones. Please help keep everyone safe.
