About one-inch of rain fell and power went out for a time late last night due to high winds and rain in Douglas

Most of the area was without power on Wednesday evening, according to the National Weather Service.
There were reports of up to 3 inches or more of rain in the surrounding area around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, said Mic Sherwood, a National Weather Service meteorologist.
In addition to the rain, hail fell in the area for about 15 minujtes. The haiol was 3'4 to 1 inch in wsize and enough fell to cover the Elfrida Elementary fields.
Sheriff's spokesperson Carol Capas said her department received five to six calls on flooding.
Two vehicles, she said, were stranded in the Whitewater Draw Wash, but the water receded and the occupants were unharmed.
Capas said the county was posting flood warning signs in the Elfrida area.
In related news, Capas said that Tuesday night, there were reports of 11 power poles down in the Sunizona area, and a barn fire most likely caused by lightning.
