Time to meet the candidates.

The election is only about two weeks away, and The Daily Dispatch and KDAP is working to get voters needed information about the candidates in the Justice of the Peace and Douglas Unified School District Governing Board elections.

The forum will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, October 25, at the City Council meeting room.

Republican George Hoke and Democrat Alma Vildosola are looking to lay claim to the Justice of the Peace seat. Incumbent Michael Herbolich was unseated in the Primary Election.

There are three ballot candidates and two write-ins looking for the two available seats in the school board elections. The seats open are those of Charles Hoyack, who is seeking re-election, and newly appointed member Mark Lucero.

The forum will consist of an opening three-minute statement by each of the candidates, a question-and-answer period, and closing remarks.
