Spooktacular Halloween Carnival Tuesday at Castro Castro Park is being taken over by witches, monsters and all other sorts of Halloween doings during the 'Spooktacular", from 5 to 7 p.m. on Halloween night, Tuesday, October 31. The event is sponsored by The Daily Dispatch and the city of Douglas. The event will feature games such as Swamp fishing, Guts and Glory, and Oh, Rats, all designed for children ages 0-12. There will also be jumping castles, food booths and a Trick or Treat Village. All kids will get a chance to go through the village once and get candy and prizes. The first 1,000 kids through the gates will receive a free Trick-or-Treat bag courtesy of the city, and the first 200 will receive a free bag of candy. There will also be a costume contests. Prizes will be presented for first, second and third. Downtown Trick-or-Treat Youngsters have the opportunity to dress up in their costumes and trick-or-treat on Tuesday, October 31, beginning at 4:30 p.,m.
