Christmas tree auction ending tonight

Douglas Arts & Humanities has organized a Christmas Tree Auction to benefit the restoration of the Grand Theatre and to help increase shoppers' visits to the businesses of downtown Douglas.


Twenty-one decorated Christmas Trees are in business windows along G Ave and adjacent streets.

A silent auction will be held using bid sheets in the stores and at the Gadsden Hotel between November 24th and December 8th. Bidding closes on December 8th at 6 p.m.

An award for Highest Bid will be announced on December 9th. Winning bidders will be able to pick up their trees ONLY AFTER payment is verified by Holly Berryhill at Jones Real Estate (948 F Avenue.)

14. Southeast Arizona Federal Credit Union

15. Southern Arizona Auto and decorated by Border Brats 16. The Special Rose

17. The Hoyack Family (tree at the Grand Cafe)

20. Merritt Pest Control (tree at Southern Arizona Auto)

21. Desert Breeze Gallery and Giftshop

The undecorated Christmas trees were donated by Wal-Mart.
