DOUGLAS - Two men, suspected of being members of an international auto-theft ring, were charged this week with stealing pickups, police said Friday.

PHOENIX (AP) - A federal judge has finished a trial in a nearly 15-year-old educational funding case, setting the stage for a ruling as early as late March on whether the state needs to do more to improve school programs for students learning the English language.

According to the most recent figures released by the Arizona Department of Economic Security, Cochise County saw a net increase of 125 non-farm jobs in November, moving from 38,775 to 38,900.

The orange: How sweet it is
Whenever folks start singing the praises of "eating locally," I think about how we residents of the northeastern United States would fare without orange juice, grapefruit halves, those cute little crates of clementines or - here's a brutal thought - limes for margaritas. Eating locally - and supporting local, sustainable farms - is both admirable and important, but I for one am glad that citrus growers ship to the frozen north. And with recent freezing spells damaging the California citrus crop, and prices likely to rise, we should be even more grateful for the citrus we do enjoy.
