On Jan. 27 and Jan. 31, 2007 the City of Douglas and the Cochise County Sheriff's Department have scheduled a rabies vaccination clinic at Castro Park on 10th Street.
The vaccinations will begin at 8 a.m. and end at noon.
The cost for a vaccination is $20 for a dog or cat. The animal must be 4 months or older to receive the rabies vaccination.
For annual boosters, $25.
A combination of rabies and distemper, $35.
Arizona State law requires animals to be licensed. The City of Douglas and the County will have licenses available for pets.
Rabies vaccinations are required by state law and must be given by a veterinarian licensed in the United States.
By vaccinating pet again rabies, the community protects itself and the public from exposure of this disease.
