Douglas city council meeting is scheduled for Wednesday

A special city council meeting is scheduled for 3:45 p.m. Wednesday at the council chambers.

At the special meeting the council will discuss the possible sale, purchase, lease of the property located at 10th Street and H Avenue.

The regular meeting will begin at 4 p.m.

At the regular meeting the council will discuss the following agenda items:

ˆ Ordinance 07-905, which relates to the public library.

ˆ Resolution 07-478, which authorizes a lease agreement between the city and Sky Canyon Aviation LLC to provide fixed base operator services at the Douglas Municipal Airport.

ˆ Update the exiting development in the golf course area and presentation of proposed Rancho Perilla Estates Development by Ray Mehan of MT Development LLC and direction to Planing and Zoning Commission to work toward establishing zoning categories for horse property and manufactured housing within the city limits.

ˆ Discussion to direct staff to work toward the development of a long-term annexation plan to include the area within a four-mile radius of the existing city limits.
