Douglas' coach Katie Calderon said afterwards its good to win the matches your supposed to win and she felt going into the match her team had the potential to pull it out and the kids did that.

The coach said her team's effort was equal to that of Tuesday's when they beat Buena.

"Things are starting to click for us," she said. "We still have some things we need to work on especially in doubles."

The coach said she's really happy with the junior varsity's effort because they're mostly freshmen.

The Bulldogs, 2-2, step out of league play today to play host to powerhouse Sabino.
