The Catholic Community Foundation announces the appointment of Donna J. Marino as their new President and CEO.

Andy Groseta, Chairman of the Catholic Community Foundation, has announced the appointment of Donna Marino as its new President and CEO, effective March 1, 2007. Marino joins the Foundation from Bridgeport, Connecticut, where she previously held the position of Executive Director of Development for the Diocese of Bridgeport for the past four years. Marino was responsible for all aspects of fundraising, including the Annual Bishop's Appeal, planned giving, major gifts and the Faith in the Future endowment fund.

Her previous experience includes 17 years of Major Fundraising and Planned Giving responsibilities with several colleges in Connecticut and New York, as well as the United Way.

Groseta commented, "We are very pleased and fortunate to have someone with Donna Marino's non-profit management and fundraising experience leading the Catholic Community Foundation in the coming years."

Marino fills a vacancy created last June when former President, John Scola, resigned to take a position with the Diocese of Orange in California. Since July 2006, former Board Chairman, Don Ruff, has been acting as Interim President and CEO. Ruff has helped coordinate the executive search process chaired by Immediate Past Chairman, John Reyno.

The Catholic Community Foundation was founded in 1983 and is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated "To carry on the work of Christ by fostering philanthropy." The purpose of the foundation is to promote charitable giving from private sources through fundraising, special events, and other special projects in support of the grant and scholarship programs. With assets over $48 million, the Foundation specializes in endowment and grant fund management, as well as estate planning for the Catholic community.
