The ACTSidental Players, in cooperation with LimeLight Productions, will present "Nunsense," a musical comedy by Dan Goggin, on Friday and Saturday in the LimeLight Little Theatre, 4151 LaLinda Way, in Sierra Vista.

As plans for the production proceed, the audience is introduced to Rev. Mother Regina (Gail Phelps), a former circus performer, Sister Hubert (Corliss Austin), the mistress of novices, Sister Robert Anne (Carole Hurter), a streetwise nun from Brooklyn, Sister Mary Leo (Sarah Wagonvood), the novice who is a wannabe ballerina, and the delightfully wacky Sister Mary Amnesia (Chris Sancho), the nun who lost her memory when a crucifix fell on her head.
Musically, "Nunsense" has something for everyone, from gospel numbers to country sounds with a little Andrews Sisters thrown in.
Tickets are $10, and may be purchased at the box office, 4151 LaLinda Way. Reservations may be made with a credit card by calling 459-4332. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday; matinee is at 2 p.m. on Saturday. LimeLight Productions is a non-profit academy of performing arts for young people. Tombstone Repertory Co. continues comedy
The Tombstone Repertory Company continues its production of "Widow Winsuitor's Boarding House," a comedy by local playwright Ida Beckel-Johnson, set in Tombstone circa 1881.
Regular ticket price is $5, with student and senior tickets at $3.
The production is at 7 p.m. on Saturday evenings, April 21 and 28. There will be a Friday evening show on April 6 and a 4 p.m. matinee on April 15.
The Tombstone Repertory has arranged a dinner package with the Longhorn Restaurant that includes a meal and tickets to the show for $30. Call the restaurant for reservations at 457-3405, or stop by at Fifth and Allen streets.
Illegitimate Theater Co. seeking new members
The Sierra Vista Illegitimate Theater Company is seeking people of all ages who are interested in little theater. Anyone who has an inclination to perform on stage or be a part of productions back-stage or set construction, should contact Joan at 515-3721 or Barbara at 459-2038.

Cochise College to cast for summer musical
Cochise College is ready to begin production of its next exciting summer musical, the sizzling revue 'Red, Hot, and COLE,' featuring the life, and music of Cole Porter. Casting auditions will be held April 20 and 21.
Cochise College is looking for dynamic team-players to fill the following positions: music director, stage director, set/technical director, choreographer, and administrative assistant-to-the-director. The performance is scheduled for late June, so candidates must be available to work flexible hours during the months of April, May and June. Casting for 'Into the Woods' announced
Buena Fine Arts Productions has completed casting for its spring production "Into the Woods," the hit Broadway musical by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine.
Based on characters from Grimm's Fairy Tales, the story loosely connects details from "Little Red Riding Hood," "Cinderella," "Rapunzel" and "Jack and the Beanstalk."
The cast includes Raymond Pottebaum as the Narrator, Chelsea Brown as Cinderella, Alex Bangle as the Baker's Wife, Brittany Ferrar as the witch, Terence Taylor as the Wolf and Aleesa Baakko as Rapunzel.
"Into the Woods" will be presented May 3,4 and 5 at 7 p.m. at the Buena Performing Arts Center.
'Canciones Para Mi Madre' celebrates moms
The Bisbee Community Chorus, in collaboration with Musica sin Fronteras, a bi-national choir, will celebrate mothers with "Canciones Para Mi Madre" at three venues on both sides of the border.
On May 5 at 6 p.m., the two groups will join with the combined choirs of La Iglesia Cristo Rey for a free concert at Auditorio Civico Municipal "Luis Cordova Corrales" de la Ciudad de Agua Prieta, Sonora.
The singers move to Douglas on May 12 for another free concert in the Gadsden Hotel lobby, 1046 N. G Avenue. This celebration starts at 7 p.m. Sponsored by Chiricahua Community Health Centers Inc. the concert is a kick-off event for National Women's Health Week, May 13-19. In addition to the concert, CCHCI will be distributing information related to women's health and giving out "goodie bags" for the ladies.
On Mother's Day, May 13, the Bisbee Community Chorus with Musica sin Fronteras will present a special Mother's Day event at Elks Park Event Center, Bisbee Junction. In addition to folk songs celebrating mothers from the U.S. and Mexico and a Mexican "Magnificat," this concert will include favors for the ladies.
Admission is $10; children 12 and under are free if accompanied by paying adult.
Tickets for the Elks Park concert are available in advance from chorus members and in Bisbee at Atalanta's Music and Books, Bisbee Mining and Historical Museum, Bisbee Visitor Center, Bisbee Chamber of Commerce and Bisbee Office Supply. They also are available at FYE at the Mall at Sierra Vista and at Bee Health-E in Douglas.

Obscure Productions seeks actors for 'Aladdin'
Bisbee's Obscure Productions is seeking more young actors, ages 8-18, for its production of "Aladdin." Actors will play a variety of roles: street rats, warriors, dancers and more.
Call Bisbee's Obscure Productions at 432-2901 for an audition appointment. No acting experience is necessary. Anyone with a special skill such as singing, dancing or juggling, be prepared to show off. Obscure Productions also is seeking actors skilled in American Sign Language.
This is not the Disney "Aladdin." It is a funny contemporary adaptation from the translation by explorer Richard Burton.
Rehearsals for "Aladdin" begin this Saturday, and will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons at Dance Arts Studios, 317 Arizona St., in the Warren section of Bisbee. Not everyone will need to attend every rehearsal. Evening rehearsals will be added closer to the performance.
Performances will be on June 22, 23 and 24 outdoors in Bisbee's City Park, pending city approval.
