This unusual combination of instruments, horn, cello and piano requires transcriptions of the Trio in Bb Major, Opus 121 by Beethoven and the Brahms Trio Opus 40. Rose French and Zoran Stilin, married last month, are developing a repertoire of music for horn and cello so that they may perform together. Stilin transcribed the Brahms Trio for these instruments. Also on the program are an Elegie by François Poulenc for horn and piano, a duet for cello and piano by Gabriel Fauré entitled "Après Un Rêve", and the very popular "Au Claire de la Lune" for piano, by Claude Debussy.
Tickets will be available at the door for $10 for adults. Students through High School will be admitted free.
The Woman's Club is at 7 Ledge Avenue, Quality Hill, Old Bisbee. For further information please call 520 432 7217.
