This year Sonrise Sport Aviation is holding a fly-in to benefit The Wounded Marines Program and the Tombstone Food Bank. The event is held at the Tombstone Municipal Airport just 3 miles south of Tombstone on Hwy 80.

Approximately 50 planes of all sizes are expected, including ultralights, experimental, general aviation, and light sport aircraft.
There will be lots of food and drink provided by the Wild West Detachment Marine Corps. League of Tombstone, and our local brewery, The Helldorado Brewery. Entertainers at the airport this year, to name a few will be, Madison Walker (Buffalo Soldier) True Tales Of The Old West, Ritchie Rhinehaedt and Steve Morgan (Jazz and Blues), Nickel Nancy, Texas Kate Show, as well as Tombstone's very own Vigilantes with a special surprise. Prizes will be raffled, including two Harley replica youth motorcycles, to benefit the Wounded Marines Program and the Tombstone Food Bank. There will also be a special appearance by the U.S.M.C. displaying the AH-1 Whiskey Cobra Gunship and the UH-1 Utility Helicopter from HMT-303, Camp Pendleton, Ca., sponsored by The Wild West Detachment, Tombstone Az. Turner Aviation will provide "free" flights in a FAA approved flight simulator.We will also have a book signing by Gordon McBride, author of" Flying to Tombstone".
After all the planes have landed and judging of the aircraft has taken place, the festivities will move into Tombstone for dinner and entertainment including the Krysis Band at Six Gun City restaurant from 5 p.m. till 9 p.m. (Reservations are required in advance).
Shuttle service will be provided to and from Tombstone for a small fee.
