Franz Family At 1st Baptist Sunday

Published/Last Modified on Saturday, April 28, 2007 10:59 AM MDT

There's a bow sweetly trembling the strings of a fiddle, a melody of high tenor joined by a family harmony, a pick stirs the mellow strings of a Martin guitar and someone is reciting scripture, the familiar words of God.

The Franz Family began their full-time music ministry at the Mutton Hollow, a small entertainment and crafts park in Branson, Missouri in 1992. In 1997 they left the park to travel the country year 'round. They perform in churches, schools, parks, and festivals, bringing the Word of God to a hungry audience and personally expressing our need for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.

Randy and Ruth have four children who join them on stage, and the music and the message is just getting sweeter. Caleb, Audra, and Olivia are skilled in playing the guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, dobro, and upright bass and writing songs of their own.

As the group gathers around the microphone and you hear their opening chord, you'll experience a family working together, in harmony. They have not only made time a priority, but a ministry and way of life. They include songs about heaven, songs of testimony and songs that challenge you in your walk with the Lord.

Does your soul need a lift? Are you feeling empty? Do you need to refocus on the foundation of your faith? Why not join the Franz Family in concert at First Baptist Church Sunday evening at 6:00 PM? We are located at the corner of 10th St. and E Ave. in Douglas.
