A happy time!

Published/Last Modified on Friday, August 3, 2007 4:21 PM MDT

Summer activities at Happytimes Children's Center included horseback riding on July 30, 2007 from 9:30 AM until 1PM; a repeat of the fun time the child had last October 30th. The horses were provided by Summerland Monastery who is training horses for equine therapy. Wrangler Jolene Gailey gave the school-aged children a lesson on how to act around horses, approach them, handle them, and showed how to trim their feet. Rose Bonett, Rene Portillo, & Jacquie Mackenzie assisted the children. All of the school-aged children were able to ride twice and the pre-schoolers once. The toddlers were allowed to pet the horses. A great time was had by all.
