County sees job losses and rising unemployment
According to the most recent figures from the Arizona Department of Economic Security, Cochise County lost 525 non-farm jobs from June to July. Comparisons to July last year show a 12 month job growth rate of -0.4 percent. Since the beginning of the year, the 12 month job growth rate has fallen steadily. July is the second consecutive month of negative 12 month job growth.

Coachman reunion dinner set for Oct. 6
The Coachmen, a club with membership from the Douglas High School classes of 1963 through 1975, will hold a reunion dinner and dance on October 6, at The Hotel Arizona, 181 W. Broadway, in Tucson, AZ. This gala Coachmen and Friends event will benefit the Douglas Maryvale School. The school and its students became a favorite project for The Coachmen beginning with an annual Christmas Party for the students in December 1963.
