Douglas is the first city in the nation to be using these new boxes designed by GE Security.
The wireless lock boxes use Supra ActiveKEYTM Security technology and provides easy access to homes for sale or rent to all realtors throughout the city.
"It makes everyone's job easier," said Holly Berryhill of Jones Real Estate and the Douglas Board of REALTORS. "It not only improves convenience and availability, but the new system provide more information on visits to the homes to both the realtors and clients."
The ActiveKey is a remote control carried by the agent which has their code encrypted so they can use the lock boxes on each of the homes for sale or rent. There is no more hunting down keys to show a home.
"Using ActiveKEY is simple, convenient, and secure, said Darla Layton, the GE Office Assistant Lead for Security doing the local training.
"Receive all the information you need, when you need it and where you need it. No cradle required. No effort required. Place ActiveKEY in your hand and feel the freedom."
