Catholic Community Services' Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program provided free tax preparation services to more than 300 low-income families last year, bringing $500, 000 into the local economy. These families saved approximately $53,000 in preparation fees and were able to get their refunds in as little as 7 to 10 days. Volunteers are needed this year in order to serve more families, bring more dollars back to Cochise County, and assist families with free financial planning services.
