More concrete work is scheduled for the city beginning October.

The Arizona Department of Transportation works on the intersection of Highway 80 and 191. The project is anticipated to be completed by November of 2007.

From Oct. 1 to Oct. 5 city crews will be pouring concrete on 12th Street between G Avenue and Pan American.

The crew will also be working in the area of 6th street to 8th Street from Los Angles Avenue to Rose Avenue

Twelfth Street, from Washington to San Antonio Avenue, will remain under construction and will be watered periodically to control dust.

The crew will also continue with its water distribution valve installation on 15th Street and Airport Road. The crew will be trenching this area as part of the project.

As a result, residents may experience low water pressure or water shut-off periodically.

As part of fire hydrant safety, crews will be maintaining the hydrants throughout the city.

Motorists and pedestrians must exercise caution when driving or walking near or around fire hydrant testing.

The Arizona Department of Transportation will continue with intersection improvements of SR80/191. The project is scheduled to be completed by November 2007. These improvements will include periodic restricted traffic.

Throughout the city there will be miscellaneous concrete repairs, pothole patching and graffiti clean up.

If residents have problems with water or sewer services on the weekend or a holiday, they can contact the Douglas Police Department at 3364-8422. Staff on call will be dispatched to that residence.
