Getting the boot
Sew Pieceful Quilt Guild will be having their bi-annual Quilt Show beginning November 3. The show will run until November 10. They are currently selling tickets for a Cowboy Boot Quilt, which will benefit The Gallery. Tickets are for sale at The Gallery, 625 10th Street, for $1 each or six for $5. The drawing for the quilt will be held on November 10. Pictured with the quilt are Cathy Keiser, Ingrid Cunningham, Jeanie Marleen, Margaret Bemis, Ellen Hawkins, Rae Temperton, Ann Williams and Kitty Deiss.

BISBEE - Attorneys representing a U.S. Border Patrol agent charged with murdering an illegal immigrant from Mexico filed another motion asking the court to preclude unreliable witness testimony.
Gas prices down across the county
According to the Cochise College Center for Economic Research's latest biweekly survey of gas prices, conducted during the week of October 8, the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in Cochise County dropped slightly to $2.72 from $2.73 over the two-week period. According to AAA Arizona, the statewide price increased from $2.68 to $2.69. Nationally, according to the Energy Information Administration, gas prices fell from $2.81 to $2.77 during the two-week period.

Bisbee Farmers Market offers more than fun this weekend
