Kevin Valenzuela led the Bulldogs shooting a 96 the first day and an 87 the second finishing with a two day total of 183.
Luis Rodriguez had scores of 96 and 89 finishing with a score of 185. Freshman Erich Hernandez had scores of 99 and 95 finishing with a two day total of 194.
Istac Villanueva shot a 97 on Wednesday and a 98 on Thursday finishing with a two-day total of 195.
Senior Dakota Brekhus had scores of 97 and 104 finishing with a score of 201.
Douglas High School golf coach Bosco Selchow said his kids did okay at the state tournament.
"That wasn’t their best effort and it wasn’t their worst," he said. "The course was tough on everyone; a lot of the scores were higher than normal. They did all that I could ask of them to do."
Selchow said he was very excited his team qualified for state.
"Early in the year I knew this was going to be a rebuilding but these kids responded a lot quicker than I thought they would," he said. "I hoping we can take four of the five back to state next year."
Brekhus is the lone senior on the team and will not be back next year due to graduation.
Selchow said all season he kept searching for five golfers who could play consistently day in and day out and the kids kept progressing and eventually it paid off.
"We should have a decent team next year and for several years to come," he said. "It’s going to be exciting."
