DPS makes drug seizure near Douglas

On Wednesday, November 14, at 7:50 AM, a Department of Public Safety Officer and K-9 “Mack”  stopped a 2001 Chev Malibu for excessive window tint on US 191 at milepost 10. north of Douglas.


The car was loaded with 191 lbs of  marijuana.  

The driver was arrested without incident.  

The passenger fled the vehicle and was a short time later arrested by Border Patrol agents on horseback.  

Both men are Mexican nationals in their mid-20’s.

    " Exactly Horray for Border Patrol Agents who are doing their jobs but not to those who kill innocent people and cowardly hide behind their shield!! or those who shamelessly transport dope while on duty.... "
