A group of writers and artists from throughout Arizona will be available for a book signing Nov. 17, 2007 at the Gadsden Hotel.

The writers will hail from different genres such as mystery, supernatural, thriller and children’s.

“The book signing will give the community a chance to meet and talk with published authors,” said Robin Brekhus, the owner of the Gadsden Hotel.

The booking will be held from 1 p.m. to 4p.m.

A wine tasting and cheese sampling will be held from 6p.m. to 7p.m. following the book signing.

The Colibri Vineyard and the Fort Bowie Vineyard will provide the wine.

A gourmet dinner will then be held from 7p.m. to 8p.m.

Brekhus said the dinner will be prepared by a group of Shamrock chefs, who will be preparing some of the tastiest meals in the entire county.

From 8p.m.to midnight the event will feature live music from groups such as Kevin Alvarado, Hanna Hurtado, David Pavlovich and Fusion.

Tickets for the dinner will be $40 per person  and $75 for two people.

The event is a fundraiser for the annual Border To Border Airshow.

The airshow, which will be held on March 15, 2008, will host a variety of air shows, entertainment, and vendors, Brekhus.

Brekhus is hoping to raise $100,000 for the air stunts, which is anticipated to be bigger and more exciting than 2007’s event.

The air show will also mark the 75th anniversary of the Douglas International Airport, which was dedicated by Eleanor Roosevelt and Amelia Earheart.
