Christmas Light Expo & Santa’s Village this weekend at Castro Park

The City of Douglas will host the 4th Annual Christmas Light Expo & Santa’s Village this weekend.


The event will be held at Raul Castro Park on 10th Street and will begin Friday December 7, at 5 p.m. and run to 9 p.m.  It continues on Saturday December 8, from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Weather permitting.

Schedule of events:

Friday, December 7

5:00 p.m.    Vendors opening       

    DHS Dance Team       

     Music and games - FREE        Hay Rides – FREE

6:30 p.m.    Tree Lighting

Saturday, December 8

10:00 a.m.     Douglas High School

    Quintet       

    Vendors Opening       

    Games Opening

11:00 a.m.    D.J. Tech FX       

    Frosty Snowman

    Picture Time

12:00 noon    Rudolph Picture Time

1:00 p.m.    Grinch and Shrek

    Picture Time

2:00 p.m.    Cinderella Picture Time       

    Insta-Snow Making

3:00 p.m.    Cat in the Hat Picture Time

4:00 p.m.    Santa Arrives and Pictures

    until 7:00 p.m.

6:00 p.m.    All Characters Picture Time

6:00-.    Vendors, games open,

9:00 p.m    Music

Games are Free to all youth, prizes and candy will be given out Free as well. 

Games include : Reindeer Toss, Frosty’s slap shot, Christmas Tree Balloon Pop, Grinch Frisbee Toss, Bernard’s Shoot Out, Mrs. Claus Hoop Shoot, and Rudolph’s Insta-Snow Area

Vendors: Tacos Pepe, Mexican Cuisin, Elotes Pepe, Corn Cocktail, Mrs. Monica Canez, Hot Chocolate, baked goods, phone charms, bracelets, Tradicion Mexicana, Mexican Pottery & Decorations, J N J Jewelry N Art, Hand Made jewelry, Dolls, Dresses, etc., Girl Scout Troop, Douglas Brats Softball, Menudo and  Hot Chocolate

Vendors are still welcome as well as musical performers.
