There were seven separate accidents on State Route 80 between Mileposts 361 and 363 , west of Douglas,  between the hours of 5:12 PM to 8:15 PM.

The collisions were weather related due to a hail storm that was passing through the area leaving the roads icy.

According to the Department of Public Safety, six of the collisions were non-injury. One collision had minor injuries.

Four people were injured, when the truck they were in slid off the road and hit a pole.  Ernesto Lopez, age 47; Patricia Lopez, age 47; Loredana Lopez-Rivero, age 19; and Francisco Rivero, age 19 were treated and released at the Southeastern Arizona Medical Center in Douglas.
