Two boys charged in attack on another boy

SIERRA VISTA — Two boys were charged with aggravated robbery after they allegedly attacked another boy on Monday and demanded that he give them his wallet, according to Sierra Vista police.


The reported robbery occurred in Len Roberts Park, 200 N. Carmichael Ave. Police were called at 3:44 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.

The boys who were charged, one 11 and the other 12, in the incident made off with about $18 in the 11-year-old victim’s wallet, of which $10 was recovered when they were caught in the Myer Drive/Canyon Drive area, according to police.

The 12-year-old also was charged with underage consumption of alcohol.

Both boys facing charges were referred to juvenile probation and booked into the Cochise County Juvenile Detention Center, police said.
