Sex offender sought by Sheriff’s Office

SIERRA VISTA — A high-risk sex offender/absconder, who formerly lived in the Sierra Vista area, is being sought by the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office as a result of new child molestation charges in Washington state.

Brian Wade Cochran, 26, was previously registered as a sex offender in the Sierra Vista area, according to a Sheriff’s Office press release Wednesday.

He was an Oklahoma resident from November 2005 until July or August of last year, when he left without notifying the local law enforcement agency in Oklahoma, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

He is reportedly driving a green 1994 Ford Explorer with Washington license plate 962VIX, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone with information related to Cochran is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (800) 362-0812. All information received will remain confidential, Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Carol Capas said.
