Today final day to request mail-in ballot for Ariz. primary

PHOENIX (AP) -- Friday is the last day to request a mail-in ballot for Arizona's Feb. 5 presidential primary, and you must act by 5 p.m.

County recorders across the state can take requests by telephone for ballots, and many counties also allow requests through their Web sites.

Once a voter has a mail-in ballot, it must be received by the respective county elections department by Election Day or it won't be counted.

People who wait until Election Day to fill in the ballot can drop it off at any polling place and it will be counted.

Registered voters can also vote the old-fashioned way at their designated polling place on Feb. 5.
