Help sought in finding sex offender

A sex offender is on the run and law enforcement officials need your help in  getting him back in custody.


Richard Steven Mendivil, 60, is currently wanted for probation violations, but he attempted to molest a family member who was under the age of 14 more than one time.

Mendivil is listed as White/Hispanic, 5’ 10” tall, 220 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes and a scar on his left arm. He was born in Mexico.

It is unknown where Mendivil could be living at this time since he failed to report to probation after being released from prison. He has been a delivery man, lumberman and prison guard.

He failed to report beginning on February 1, 2008, as a registered sex offender and should be considered dangerous. If someone sees him, they are asked not to attempt to approach him, and instead contact the nearest police department.
