Douglas HealthMart grand opening this Saturday, February 16

If convenience is a priority in one’s life, Douglas HealthMart meets that concern.



Opening last month, the new pharmacy, located 94 W. Fifth Street, provides the only drive-through pharmacy in the community.

The new pharmacy, being run by Greg Shumaker, pharmacist and owner, and Trevor Shumaker, pharmacy technician, provides all one’s prescription and over-the-counter needs.

Douglas HealthMart provides:

√ Acceptance of all major insurance plans including APIPA, Express Scripts, WHI (ASBAIT), CPSA, mercy Care, CIGNA, HUMANA, PCS,  Caremark, BCBS, RX America and Medicare D, just to name a few.

√ 10-minute wait on most prescriptions.

√ Generous over-the-counter selection.

√ Durable medical equipment (walkers, canes, etc.)

√ Vitamins and homeopathic medications.

Shumaker also pledges to match or beat all competitor’s prices.

The pharmacy is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

Grand Opening

The new pharmacy will celebrate its grand opening this Saturday, February 16, with a ribbon cutting, free food, a jumping castle and a chance to win a number of prizes.

Greg and Trevor Shumaker asks that Douglas residents stop by and learn all that Douglas HealthMart can do for them.

    " I stopped in the other day to meet Mr. Shumaker and his son. What a couple of nice guys. So nice to have a Mom and Pop type Pharmacy in Douglas again. Good luck! "
