It’s community helper week for our class.  We will have Mr. Mario Escalante from the border patrol come in for a demonstration.

He will bring in horses and K-9’s to show the students.  He will also talk to us about his type of work.  We will also have our Friendship party on Thursday and during the week we will prepare for it by decorating bags for our goodies!!  Have a great Valentine’s Day!!

Ms. Sandy and Ms.Tere – 4 year olds

Ms. Sandy’s CTE/ECE classes have been learning about friendship! We are talking about what a good friend should do, and that good friends don’t hit or push each other.  We’ve talked about how friends fight some times, but there are ways we can make up with our friends.

We can have more than one friend, and just because we’re friends, doesn’t mean we always have to play with each other and it’s ok to say,  “I’m having a bad day; I just want to be alone.”  Instead of saying, “You’re not my friend anymore!’  We’ve added more letters to our Alphabet Songs; we are now learning Elmo the Elephant and Penelope Pig! We’ve also learned two new vocabulary words: elegant and prediction!  We enjoy predicting who is picking us up at the end of the day!

Ms. Rios and Ms. Gonzalez – Kinder

We class will be celebrating Friendship on Valentine’s Day this Thursday.  We have creating a classroom friendship quilt together; please stop by our classroom to see it, the students did an excellent job!  This week we also began our new theme “Down on the Farm”  we will be learning about farm animals and reading stories about different kinds of animals and deciding if they are real stories or fantasy stories.  The Alpha friends that we will be reviewing this week are Tiggy Tiger, Nile Noodle and Keely Kangaroo. Happy Valentine’s Day! From Mrs. Rios’s class.
