The following are sentencings in Cochise County Superior Court, as provided by the court system. The listings include disposition date, charge and sentence. “Monetary” can be a fine or restitution, or both.


• Gordon Lane, 25, Fort Huachuca, Jan 11: unlawful use of means of transportation, six days confinement in Cochise County Jail with monetary and three years probation.

• Uikirifi F. Lopez, 28, Sierra Vista, Jan. 10: dangerous drug–possess/use, three days confinement in Cochise County Jail with monetary and four years probation.

• Maria Mendez, 44, Bisbee, Jan. 4: drug paraphernalia violation, 88 days confinement in Cochise County Jail with monetary and three years probation; failure to appear first degree, 39 days confinement in Cochise County Jail with monetary and three years probation.

• Kirk Opperman, 33, Tombstone, Jan. 25: DUI–liquor/drugs/vapors, ten days confinement in Cochise County Jail with monetary and three years probation; unlawful flight from pursuing law enforcement vehicle, 10 days confinement in Cochise County Jail with monetary and three years probation.

• Melinda Perry, 32, Sierra Vista, Jan. 14: forgery–offers forged instrument, three days confinement in Cochise County Jail with monetary and three years probation.

• Donald Pieper, 33, Sierra Vista, Jan. 4: DUI–liquor/drugs/vapors, 10 days confinement in Cochise County Jail with monetary and two years probation.

• Jay Price, 38, Huachuca City, Jan. 8: disorderly conduct, one year confinement in Department of Corrections with monetary.

• Ismael Ramirez, 20, Douglas, Jan. 25: burglary third degree, 41 days confinement in Cochise County Jail with monetary and four years probation.

• Jorge Reyes, 26, Tucson, Jan. 23: attempted theft of means of transportation, three years confinement in Department of Corrections with monetary.

• Rudy Romero Jr., 46, Willcox, Jan. 4: drug paraphernalia violation, one year confinement in Department of Corrections with monetary; burglary third degree, one year six months confinement in Department of Corrections with monetary.

• Manx Russell, 39, homeless, Jan. 8: shoplifting–concealment, 116 days confinement in Cochise County Jail with monetary and four years probation.

• Daphne Santos, 31, Sierra Vista, Jan. 14: drug paraphernalia violation, one year probation and monetary/Public Works Service only.

• James Sargent, 35, Sierra Vista, Jan. 4: possession of weapon by prohibited person, 81 days confinement in Cochise County Jail with monetary and four years probation; leave accident scene/death or personal injury, 67 days confinement in Cochise County Jail and three years probation.

• Gary Stidham, 50, Willcox, Jan. 17: two counts of assault–intent/reckless/injure, one year probation and monetary/public works service only on each.

• Aron Toral, 32, San Juan Del Rio, Mexico, Jan. 7: unlawful flight from pursuing law enforcement vehicle, one year confinement in Department of Corrections.

• Cyndi Torres, 44, Sierra Vista, Jan. 7: DUI aggravated with driver license restriction, nine days confinement in Cochise County Jail with monetary and five years probation.

• Robert Traylor, 31, Fort Jackson, S.C., Jan. 28: molestation of a child, five years confinement in Department of Corrections.

• Steven Valenzuela, 23, Douglas, Jan. 15: possession of a weapon by prohibited person, 15 days confinement in Cochise County Jail with monetary, and four years probation.

• Antonio Villa, 31, Tucson, Jan. 4: two counts of aggravated assault–disfigurement, one year 6 months confinement in Department of Corrections on each; DUI–liquor/drugs/vapors, six months confinement in Department of Corrections.

• Michelle Vonderhaar, 30, Tombstone, Jan. 7: attempted aggravated robbery, 114 days confinement in Cochise County Jail with monetary and four years probation.

• Matilda Wildermuth, 50, Huachuca City, Jan. 8: drug paraphernalia violation, one year probation and monetary/public works service only.

• Miguel Zazueta, 20, Phoenix, Jan. 7: attempted smuggling humans, 80 days confinement in Cochise County Jail and three years probation.
