Border Patrol Horse Unit apprehend large group

TUCSON, Ariz. - On March 4, 2008 Douglas Border Patrol agents assigned to the Horse Patrol Unit arrested a group of 57 illegal aliens near Mile Marker 13 on Leslie Canyon, 15 miles north of Douglas, Arizona. The group consisted of 37 males and 20 females.


All subjects in the group claimed to be Mexican citizens and claimed to have walked for over a day before being apprehended. The group was transported to the Douglas Border Patrol Station and processed for voluntary return to Mexico.

Since October 1st thru February 29, of 2008 the Tucson Sector has made 112,070 arrests. The Sector Horse patrol unit has made 9,558 of those arrests.
