Ms. Hernandez and Ms. Alma – 4 year olds


We are reviewing numbers, letters and the phonetic sounds of words.

We are starting with the new color yellow and the diamond shape.

We are talking about nursery rhymes, and learned the word struck bysaying nursery rhymes.  We have invited parents, family members  to read to our students because the month of march is the Love of Literacy.

Ms. Diana and Ms. Elena – 4 year olds

This week we are learning about spring. Monday we are learning about trees, what they are good for, who lives in them, what we make out of trees (lumber, paper, etc.) Children made a tree using different shapes like circles, squares, triangles, ovals, stars, rectangles, etc. Tuesday children will learn about birds, where they live, what they eat, etc. Children will make a bird feeder with a piece of paper towel, peanut butter and bird seeds.

Wednesday children will learn about butterflies, the process they go through to become a butterfly, what they eat, where they live, etc.

Children will make a butterfly with a plastic sandwich bag, a cloths pin and colored paper. Thursday we are celebrating the 100 days of school.

Children will make a picture celebrating the 100 days of school, using different things, like buttons, beans, rice, seeds, raisins, etc.
