Final days here for candidates

Tuesday is the day.


Voters will begin hitting the polls beginning at 6 a.m. on March 11 casting their votes for their candidates.

The mayoral candidates are: Michael Gomez, Michael “Smokey” Molina, Cruz Silva and write-in candidate Natalio Sabal.

Ward 1 candidates are: Margaret Morales, Alfredo Garcia, and Bill Wendt.

Ward 3, incumbent Ben LaForge and Robert Fernandez.

Ward 4, Frank Ambriz and incumbent Shelton.

Ward 5, Ivan Huish.

Ward 6, Jose L. Acedo.

The polling locations will be open from 6a.m. to 7p.m. and are located at:

Ward 1-The Recreation Center at 921 E. 3rd Street.

Ward 2-National Guard Armory at 1401 E 8th Street.

Ward 3-The Douglas Fire Station at 1400 E. 10th Street.

Ward 4-St Luke’s Parish Hall at 1211 E. 15th Street.

Ward 5-Visitor’s Center 345 W. 16th Street.

Ward 6-Douglas High School Athletic Dept. 1800 Estrella Avenue.
