A second Douglas solider has died in the Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Family members have confirmed U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Ernesto Guadalupe Cimarrusti was killed Monday in Baghdad by a suicide bomber. Details about his death are unclear at press time.

Cimarrusti, a 2000 DHS graduate, was serving his third tour in Iraq. He has been in the Army seven years and was stationed in Fort Stewart, GA.

Born July 26, 1982, Cimarrusti is survived by his wife Illiana (Perez) Cimmarusti, his daughter, Vivianaiy, his parents whose names were not available but reside in Cananea, Son. plus several other brothers and sisters who remain in Douglas.

Family members say Cimarrusti will be buried in Cananea.

U.S. Army Specialist Victor Campoy, who was killed in Oct. 2003, was Douglas’ first casualty of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
