The biggest and best air show is scheduled for this weekend at the Airport Park, east of Douglas, with lots of air stunts, games, food and music.

The Airshow will be today from 3:30 to 6 p.m. at the Airport Park.

“It’s going to be much more exciting than last year’s event,” said Robin Brekhus, the organizer of the Border To Border Air Show.

Parking will be available on the north side of the park. Those with parking needs will be directed to travel east on 15th Street, drive passed Airport Road about - mile. The parking will be on the old runway.

From there, a hay wagon will take people to the show, Brekhus said.

Air show authorities said that no pets, no ice coolers or bicycles will be allowed at the show.

People are encouraged to bring chairs.

" I agree with mike i believe that Douglas Recreation could of done so much better, all of the volunteers of the air show should be recognized for there volunteer help.. Mother Nature Could of made a difference of attendence but if it was not for locals helping it could of been worst.

" Honestly i would love to personally like to thank Robin and Henry Brekhus they worked really hard to make this come true i know that the city of douglas only donated about 25% of the cost ... Which should the recreation Department should feel sorry for... They made exactly no difference "

" The show was lots of fun, but not as good as last year. More static displays were needed. People who did the parking did a great job as did the City guys on the Hayride. It was nice not having a long walk to see the show. The A-10 and the Bomber were amazing!!!! Was the guy in black with the gun really a cop? If so, he was a sloppy mess and the City of Douglas should be ashamed of that. But overall, I am looking forward to 3rd annual Air Show "
