The police department has to "label" this a suspicious death until autopsy, etc results are in. Even though they might be 99% sure it was a suicide, you have to rule out everything. When these results come in then they will make the necessary changes on the report to maybe "suicide" or whatever was the cause. Now, the Daily Dispatch only prints what the press release from DPD states. "

" There must be some language barrier here because the family seems very offended by the word "suspicious." That word does not mean that we suspect the family of wrong-doing - only that the cause of death is uknown and that death of such a young girl is unexpected and unusual.

Also, you've now made her name public, which has invalidated the privacy that the family had when she was not named because of her age.

I wish the whole family my deepest condolences at this difficult time. "
