Truck is hit with six bullets, believed to be gang related

Six bullets were fired at a Ford F150  Tuesday morning from an unknown shooter.


Police were alerted of shots fired at the 1000 block of 1st Street, said Marcus Gonzalez, the spokesman for the Douglas Police Department.

Upon arrival, police found that a maroon and gray older model Ford F150 had 6 holes caused by gunfire.  

Police found several .22 caliber casings in the area.  No one was hit by the gunfire as no one was around the truck at the time of the incident, Gonzalez said.

  Police are investigating several leads, but suspects have not yet been determined.  Police believe that this is a gang-related shooting involving local rival gangs.  

The Cochise County GIITEM Task Force (Gang Unit) is assisting Douglas Police Detectives with the investigation.

The police are continuing its investigation and arrests are pending.

    " i agree with these people douglas police and justice system are a complete joke!! i wish they would teach these kids a lesson and send them to boot camp! maybe then they will straighten up. kids that are up to no good should be kicked out of town and never be allowed to return. i'm tired of this gang crap these kids need to get a life. you could tell they have nothing better to do!!!
