Ms. Hernandez and Ms. Alma – 4 year olds

During this week we are talking about different kinds of animalsand the vocal sounds that they produce.  We made a collage o f farm animals, we also read the story “The Three little Pigs”. We learned that pigs are also considered farm animals, we made a puppet duck.

Ms. Sandy and Ms. Tere– 4 year olds & high school students

CTE/ECE classes are going to begin talking about spring.  We will learn about the life cycle of a butterfly and that moths make a cocoon and butterflies make a chrysalis.  We will make our own butterfly books.  We made up our own stories using insect stickers and drawing a scene around the sticker to go with the story.  We have some new vocabulary words too!  Our new words are: vicious, sway, intelligent, invisible and hullabaloo!  These words come up in our alphabet songs.  The high school students have been working on infant and toddler presentations and all the groups have chosen to present this information in a power point.  They are very creative and some have even chosen to put pictures of themselves in their presentations! The class will also have a visit on Friday from Ben Berry, Director of Education from Cochise College.
