Wednesday’s warning went into effect at 10 a.m. and ends at 8 p.m.
The windy weather is coming via a “weather disturbance” moving through the Western states, according to the weather service.
In its planning forecast on Wednesday, the Electronic Proving Ground’s Meteorological Support Team said winds on Wednesday afternoon will come from the southwest and be between 20 to 25 mph, with gusts of 35 mph or more in some areas.
