This performance features the Tucson-based group Musica Sonora with Cochise College ‘s “Musica Sin Fronteras.” Directed by Christina Jarvis and Lori Keyne, topics include springtime, love, Claret, love, singing and dancing, barnyard animals, unrequited love, more love and the ever-popular modern madrigal, ‘My Bonnie Lass She Smelleth’ by the composer known as P.D.Q. Bach. Composers from England, France, Italy and Germany represent the cultural diversity of popular song of the day, and a modern piece is included as well.
