BENSON — Kartchner Caverns State Park will celebrate its 20th Anniversary on Saturday. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Enjoy the wonders of nature in Kartchner caverns this weekend.

The park will hold a variety of family-friendly activities, including a presentation and book signing by Neil Miller whose book, “Kartchner Caverns — How Two Cavers Discovered and Saved One of the Wonders of the Natural World,” was recently published. The book chronicles Randy Tufts’ and Gary Tenen’s discovery of Kartchner Caverns through the opening of Kartchner Caverns State Park.

There also will be a book signing by Benjamin Ilka, author and illustrator of “Caves Coloring Book,” who also will answer questions from the audience.

In addition, the park’s Cave Unit and Park Rangers will give interpretive talks about geology, bats, cave critters, the Junior Ranger program and more.
